VIETNAM IN MY HEART

Since I first encountered Vietnam more than half a century ago, since I raised that flag in the very heart of Saigon, this country has been part of my life and has never left it. This documentary recounts, without artifice or staging, a few key moments from that small, chaotic story within the midst of the larger History, from war to peace. A war whose duration, scale, and cruelty still weigh heavily on today’s peace, acting as so many obstacles to national reconciliation, respect for human rights, and economic development.
